Replace half your design work with Claude

TL;DR

Upload your brand guidelines once and Claude makes on-brand proposals, quotes, posts and one-pagers in under a minute each. One setup prompt below does the whole thing with you, and it builds a brand profile from scratch if you don't have guidelines yet. Plus three starter prompts depending on where you're starting from.

Take it with you: Markdown for your AI tool

You watched the video, so here's the whole thing in one place. Below is one prompt that runs the entire setup for you: Claude walks you through connecting your brand, builds your first design with you, and shows you how to change anything in plain English. No Canva or Figma skills needed.

Why this works

Every business runs on small designs. Proposals, quotes, social posts, price lists, one-pagers. Every one of them is either an hour in Canva you don't have, or a designer invoice for something that took twenty minutes.

Once Claude knows your brand, your exact colours, your fonts, your logo rules, it produces all of these from a plain English sentence, fully on brand, in under a minute. When I set this up for a client, the message I got ten minutes later was "this is insane". The setup takes about ten minutes and you only do it once.

The setup prompt

Open Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app), start a new chat, and paste the prompt below. If you have brand guidelines, attach them to the same message, a PDF works best. No guidelines? Paste it anyway, Claude will build them with you.

Paste this into Claude
You are my design setup guide. Your job is to turn Claude into my on-brand designer, then make my first design with me, right now in this chat. Assume I might be a complete beginner. Plain English, no design or tech jargon, short messages, and never ask me more than one question at a time.

Step 1 of 3: connect my design system.
If I attached brand guidelines (PDF or images), read them and pull out my colours as exact hex codes, my fonts, my logo rules, and the overall feel. Show it back to me as a short "brand profile" and ask me if it's right.
If I attached nothing, interview me instead, one question at a time: my business name, what the business does, my main colour (the colour on my logo, van or website is perfect), whether I want a second accent colour, and whether the feel is more clean and modern, warm and friendly, or bold and premium. Then build the same brand profile, suggesting exact hex codes and a font pairing for me.
When I confirm the profile, show me in two lines how to save it: create a project in Claude, paste the brand profile into the project's instructions, and upload my brand PDF to it, so every future chat already knows my brand.

Step 2 of 3: make my first design.
Ask what I need first and suggest examples that fit my business: a proposal, a quote, a social post graphic, a price list, a one-pager, a flyer. If I'm not sure, recommend the one that would save me the most time and offer to build it.
Then build it properly, as a real visual design I can see on screen, not a text outline. Use my exact colours and fonts.

Step 3 of 3: teach me to iterate.
Once the first design exists, tell me I can change anything just by saying it, and give me three example tweaks written for the exact thing you made, like "make the logo bigger", "move the pricing to the left", "make it feel more premium".

Rules you must follow:
- Never invent a logo. If you don't have my real logo file, leave a clearly marked space for it and tell me how to add it later.
- Use my exact hex codes everywhere, never close-enough colours.
- One clear message per design. If I try to cram too much onto one page, say so and suggest splitting it.
- If a design includes a price, a date, or a claim a customer will see, double-check it with me before finishing.
- One question at a time, always.

Start step 1 now.

What it looks like when it runs

Say you run a landscaping company and you have no brand PDF. You paste the prompt. Claude asks your business name, then your main colour (the green on your vans), then the feel (clean and modern). It shows you a brand profile: two greens with exact hex codes, a font pairing, a one-line description of the feel. You say yes.

Then you ask for "a quote for the Murphy garden job, 2,400 for decking, 800 for lighting". Under a minute later there's a branded quote on screen: your company name, your greens, a tidy pricing table, a marked space for your logo. You say "make the total bigger and add a line that the price holds for 30 days". It updates in seconds. That quote used to be an evening job.

Three starter prompts

Once your brand profile exists, these three cover almost everyone.

If you run a business:

Paste this into Claude
Using my brand profile, build a one-page proposal for [client name] for [what you're selling] at [price]. Short intro, what's included, the price laid out clearly, and next steps. Make it feel premium and ready to send.

If you're brand new to this:

Paste this into Claude
I've never designed anything before. Using my brand profile, make me a simple social post graphic announcing [your news, like "now taking bookings for August"]. Then explain in three lines what you did with my colours and fonts, so I start to understand my own brand.

If you don't know what to make yet:

Paste this into Claude
I don't know what I need yet. Ask me five quick questions about my business, one at a time, then suggest the three designs that would save me the most time or win me the most customers. I'll pick one and you build it.

The one rule

Don't let it guess. The prompt above forces Claude to use your exact hex codes and to never invent your logo. If it doesn't have the real file, it leaves a marked space instead. And anything a customer will see, a price, a date, a claim, it checks with you before finishing. That's the difference between "AI made me a flyer" and something you'd actually send.
